Company Profile (Description for members directory): Siman Agro is a Somali diaspora and locally financed agricultural cooperative committed to transforming agriculture and improving rural livelihoods across Somalia. By combining diaspora and local community investment, we drive sustainable agricultural development and rural economic growth. Our services span commercial crop and livestock production, irrigation systems, farm management, agricultural consultancy, farmer training, agro-input distribution, and value-added food processing. Our cooperative manages livestock and is developing an improved breeding program, introducing high-performance genetics — including Boer goats for meat production and Alpine goats for milk production — alongside locally adapted breeds. Our mission is to strengthen food security, create sustainable employment, and build resilient agricultural value chains connecting farmers, markets, investment, and innovation. We currently operate in Afgooye, Dhuusamareb, and Luuq (Gedo Region), working closely with farming communities to promote sustainable agriculture and long-term rural prosperity.
